It is within this organization that the Instituto Daniel Franco emerged in 2001, with the aim of promoting people's training and disseminating the knowledge built up over the years.

The Daniel Franco Institute is a Social Organization of Public Interest (OSCIP) founded in the city of Uberaba (MG), in the Triângulo Mineiro region.

Its mission is to offer better living conditions for people through social projects and actions.

All work is humanitarian.

The IDF is dedicated to fighting hunger and poverty, providing assistance in situations of vulnerability and promoting inclusion, with the aim of creating opportunities and transforming life stories.

Over these 20 years, the Institute has reached thousands of homes, schools and charities, solidarity aid in the form of books and school materials, toys, food and medical-hospital supplies.

In addition, the IDF works to curb domestic violence by providing legal and psychological assistance to hundreds of women who are still abused at home.

Over the past five years, IDF social actions have benefited more than 10,000 families.

Through technical cooperation focused on agribusiness, the Daniel Franco Institute also brings solidarity and knowledge to countries on different continents such as Africa, Asia and Latin America.

In this sense, the IDF promotes training courses focused on agribusiness, taking the name of Uberaba and Brazil to the world.

It is in this sense that the work is done, through caring for others so that new stories are told, with new perspectives.

Daniel Franco Institute. Transforming lives

Biography - Daniel Franco

Daniel de Oliveira Franco is the son of Luiz Carlos Franco and grandson of the late Mario Franco, one of the most respected cattlemen in the country's history.

Doctor of Education, Daniel Franco Daniel de Oliveira Franco is ahead of his time.

With a cosmopolitan vision, Daniel stands out among the Franco Family - which for three generations has been fundamental for the development of Minas Gerais and Brazilian agribusiness.

His altruistic spirit led him to create the Institute, which bears his name.

Its objective is to continue the legacy and, at the same time, transform realities and transform lives.

That's why he has always looked at others more carefully and has in his heart the sensitivity to help those in need.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, he has a Minas Gerais heart, body and soul from Uberaba, and the ideal of fighting for the least favored people, under unequal conditions.

He has a degree in Philosophy, Theology and History, in addition to being a Master and Doctor in Education, having attended major institutions such as the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ); National University of Cuyo, Argentina and Pontifical Gregorian University (PUG), Rome, Italy.

Dr. Daniel Franco

For ten years, he effectively lived in Uberaba, where he insisted on teaching classes in public schools. Daniel Franco was a professor at the EE Frei Leopoldo Castelnuevo and EE Bernardo Vasconcelos.

Daniel is the father of three children: Antônio, Maria Clara and Sophia – currently residing in Rio de Janeiro and husband of Nurse Flavia Mendes Franco, his right-hand man at the IDF.

In early 2019, Daniel Franco effectively began helping the family business after his uncle Mario Franco Junior passed away.

In September of the same year, he reactivated the IDF, with a proposal to take technical knowledge to countries in Africa.

By internationalizing Education, Daniel Franco began to work in countries that import technology from Brazilian agribusiness, but are unable to advance economically due to lack of technical preparation, as is the case in African countries.

Silently and with great dedication, Daniel Franco always showed, through attitudes that, although there are so many social and economic inequalities, it is possible to make a difference in the world, not only giving bread, but teaching how to produce, market and contribute to this transformation.

For this, he put into practice, through the IDF, important social projects that are making a difference in people's lives.

Daniel Franco runs the Institute with great dedication and great determination, with the seal and support of Itamaraty.

The work also consists of getting public resources for welfare institutions in the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba, through parliamentary amendments and their free transit in Brasília.

Daniel Franco makes a difference in history, carrying out the noble purposes of the Mário Franco Family, always paying special attention to the needy population, who so much need support and, most importantly, love.
